Anja Brunt's yearlong creative journey into the world of faces.
Anja Brunt has spent the last year on a creative journey, exploring the wonderful diversity of the face. Having had commercial success with her faces created from textiles, she opted to experiment non-commercially with other materials – even things she picked up off the street – to come up with a different face every day. To push her creative boundaries, she began coming up with weekly themes. One week, she would use plants for inspiration. The next, the faces might all consist of nuts and bolts. “After all,” she explains. “Faces are everywhere. You just have to look for them and let you imagination go wild.”
